Technology Partners

The Hardware and Platforms GoodVision Runs On

GoodVision builds traffic analytics software. It runs on commercially available cameras, edge devices and GPU servers, and connects to the video and traffic systems you already use. This page is for camera, hardware, cloud and platform vendors who want GoodVision on their products, and for buyers checking what it runs on.

The Partner Model

What Is a GoodVision Technology Partner?

A GoodVision technology partner makes the cameras, compute or platforms that GoodVision software runs on or connects to. GoodVision is camera-agnostic software, so the hardware stays yours to sell. From hands-on deployment experience, GoodVision recommends the best-performing devices for each setup.

Camera Makers

Cameras that deliver a standard RTSP stream work with GoodVision today. Smart cameras with on-board AI can run the detection inside the device.

Edge and Server Hardware

Edge computers and GPU servers run GoodVision Live Traffic next to the cameras or in the data center.

Platforms and Systems

Video management systems, traffic management systems, smart city platforms and signal controllers take GoodVision data through its APIs.

Reselling GoodVision?

This page covers technology partnerships. If you sell GoodVision to your own customers as an integrator, the commercial terms and white-label options are on the System Integrators page.

On-Camera Detection

Detection Inside the Camera

GoodVision is an Axis technology partner. On supported AXIS® network cameras with a deep learning processing unit (DLPU), GoodVision Live Traffic runs on the camera itself. Detection, classification and tracking all happen inside the device.

Connected to GoodVision

The camera sends data to the GoodVision platform for long-term history, cross-camera analysis, dashboards, reports and the Traffic Safety Suite. It connects outbound, so nothing is exposed on the public internet.

Standalone on Site

The camera runs with no connection to GoodVision and feeds traffic data and events straight into your own systems, for remote sites, isolated networks and strict data-residency rules.

Recommended Camera

AXIS P1475-LE Network Camera: full HD, a wide field of view and power over a single network cable, rated IP66, IP67 and IK10, for -40 °C to +60 °C.

Where It Stands Today

On-camera deployment is rolling out on Axis cameras through pilots and early deployments. The Traffic Safety Suite runs when the camera is connected to GoodVision. You buy the camera directly from Axis.

AXIS, AXIS COMMUNICATIONS, ETRAX, ARTPEC and VAPIX are registered trademarks or trademark applications of Axis AB in various jurisdictions.

Compute

What Hardware Does GoodVision Run On?

GoodVision Live Traffic runs wherever the compute sits in your architecture, and the detection is the same in all three places. GoodVision Video Insights runs on recorded video you upload to the GoodVision platform. The cards below cover the three places Live Traffic can run.

GoodVision analysing a live RTSP traffic camera stream at 1920×1080, 25 fps. Supported streams: RTSP, H.264 or H.265, 640×480 to 1920×1080, 10 to 50 fps

On the Camera

A supported Axis camera with a DLPU runs the detection on the device itself, powered over a single network cable.

On an Edge Device

An industrial edge computer with an NVIDIA GPU sits in the roadside cabinet next to your existing CCTV cameras.

On Your Own Server

Run the engine on your own NVIDIA GPU server, with any camera you already operate.

Camera Requirements

Any camera works if it delivers an RTSP stream in H.264 or H.265, from 640x480 up to 1920x1080, at 10 to 50 frames per second, with road users filling at least 5% of the view.

How to Work With GoodVision

A technology partnership starts with a conversation about your product. Tell us what your camera, device or platform does and who buys it. Our engineers will tell you whether GoodVision runs on it today and what an integration would take, before either side commits to anything.

1. Share the Specification

Send us the device or platform details, such as the video interface, the compute and the APIs, through the contact form.

2. Technical Review

Our engineers check it against the GoodVision requirements and tell you what works today and what an integration would involve.

3. Recommended Where It Fits

GoodVision recommends devices for the setups they perform best in, and your product joins that list where it fits.

Questions

Questions Technology Partners Ask

These are the questions camera, hardware and platform vendors ask first: whether GoodVision makes hardware, how the Axis partnership works, how data reaches your platform and where to go if you want to resell. Each answer is short and gives you the facts behind it.

Does GoodVision Make Its Own Cameras?

No. GoodVision is software. It works with the cameras and video management systems already installed, of any brand.

Is GoodVision an Axis Partner?

Yes. GoodVision is an Axis technology partner, and GoodVision Live Traffic runs on supported Axis cameras with a DLPU.

Does GoodVision Resell Partner Hardware?

No. You buy an Axis camera directly from Axis, at the Axis price.

How Does GoodVision Connect to Our Platform?

Events go out over HTTPS in under a second, and the REST API serves counts, speeds and occupancy aggregated from one second to 24 hours. The API documentation is public.

Can the Detection Stay Inside the Customer Network?

Yes. Run it on an edge device or on the customer's own server, or on an Axis camera in standalone mode with no connection to GoodVision.

Can We Resell GoodVision?

Yes, as an integrator. The System Integrators page covers white-label deployment and the commercial terms.

Put GoodVision on Your Hardware
