Technical Support & Operations Engineer
Who we need

For specific clients, we run our software as a container on the client’s HW (mainly NVIDIA Jetson units). We have internal tools for device management and monitoring (metrics, alarms) to provide smooth support. But it can be smoother, so we need someone to help us troubleshoot what went wrong this time. Part of this job is also constantly improving our practices and using tools to minimise our effort in the future. The second but the not less interesting part is servicing our cloud apps in AWS.

It does not matter if you work on AI, frontend or backend, testing or cloud infrastructure, we expect tech ownership which means responsibility, but also an opportunity of steering our product or tech stack. Research on all levels is done daily so we can adopt cutting-edge technologies. All mentioned in a friendly team and with big flexibility.

Our AI engineers work with NVIDIA DeepStream on AWS GPU instances and NVIDIA Jetson computers. Our backend stack utilizes technologies like Java, Docker, AWS Lambda, and PostgreSQL. GoodVision web application is built using TypeScript and Angular. Our cloud-native stack runs on Amazon Web Services, and we use CloudFormation IaC to describe resources of our infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Support 5×8 – device dashboard, watching metrics, logs
  • Find root causes of outages and report them to developers
  • Manage our monitoring/alarming tools
  • Setup and maintain Gitlab pipelines
  • Manage adoption of AWS services
Requirements
  • Understand how infrastructure works (VPN, ports, firewall, MQTT….)
  • Sys-admin who masters terminal (you must be able to fully control the computer, including getting states of SW/HW, write and run scripts, install/update components, managing containers (Docker)
  • Know-how about system alarms (how to set logic, what should be alarmed, data visualisation dashboards)
  • Experience with searching and filtering in logs
  • Experience with setup of automated pipelines
  • Self-organised approach to work
  • Team player who won’t get afraid when the first issue occurs
  • Fluent English (we speak Czech in the team, but communication with other departments and everything written is in English)
What could be an advantage
  • Basic overview of AWS infrastructure (Lambda, S3, IoT)

  • Ability to manage and flash Linux devices (Jetson)
  • Skills in writing tech documentation
